the season is changing

it is getting cooler in the evenings.  a wonderful time of year when we can throw open the windows at night as we sleep and breathe in the fresh air of a new season.  (provided you have screens on them that have no holes)  I spent the better part of sunday rescreening 4 windows and 1  door, so that we could do this.  it is not as magical as having the screen fairy come and do them while you sleep, but now i have a wonderful new skill.  so, the cooler air ushers in thoughts of fires and bundling up in sweaters and searching etsy for the perfect toboggan for my little one - found one of course. (well, hundreds, actually)  needing to make the mei tai for the bluegrass festival coming at the end of october.  needing to throw a supper shower for my ever growing/glowing pregnant katie.  needing to hurry and buy some babylegs to protect my creeping beauty.  lots to do and drycleaning to be picked up in order to not get caught on the day it turns cold, without a winter jacket.  found this little number in the alabaster thrift for $1.75!  i used to have one just like it that i found at a reuse site in fairbanks, alaska back in 2004 for free!  i attract affordable, gorgeous red coats, i guess.  wink.
